About the job :
A Procurement Engineer plays a vital role in the procurement process of goods and services for engineering projects. They are responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for construction, manufacturing, or engineering projects. Procurement Engineers work closely with project managers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality of purchased items.

Responsibilities:

*Source and evaluate suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery timelines.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
*Analyze project requirements and develop procurement strategies to meet project deadlines and budget constraints.
*Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
*Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to understand project specifications and procurement needs.
*Coordinate with internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth procurement processes.
*Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.

Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

* + Minimum 5years of Experience

*Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in an engineering or construction environment.
*Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
*Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
*Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
*Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
*Knowledge of contract law, purchasing principles, and international trade regulations.
*Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
