The selected candidate will be hired through International Business Services and will be assigned to International Business Services client.

Position: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Cairo Head office – CFC.
Working Hours: 8 Hours per day

Job Requirements:

Essential education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Essential experience and job requirements: A minimum of 10 years of in the oil and gas industry. Preferably in support of operations.
Travel to site required: Yes - up to 25%

Role Synopsis: 

1. Develop regional process safety and reliability through the analysis and improvement of electrical process safety barriers, maintenance strategies and electrical equipment reliability.
2. Ensure engineering activities appropriately apply bp standards and processes.
3. Ensure quality and consistent application of engineering processes and workflows.
4. Act as Equipment Class Owner (ECO) and Contract Account Manager (CAM) for electrical equipment and service contracts.
5. Proactively interact with other disciplines, squads, team members and contractors to systematically investigate and resolve problems, apply informed engineering judgment to drive integrated, pragmatic solutions focused on risk management, production efficiency, defect elimination and standardization.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Custodian and owner of electrical long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with overall bp operations strategy.
2. Custodian and owner of common electrical engineering processes and workflows e.g., power system studies, management of change, technical investigations, risk assessment and action plans, vulnerability management, etc.
3. Provide electrical engineering support for projects and TAR activities including electrical input and design reviews.
