Job Title: Design Engineer / Tanks

Job Requirements:
1- bachelor's degree of Mechanical Engineering (specialization in Process Equipment Design desirable).
2- Minimum 5 to 7 years of design experience of which 3 years in the design of boilers, pressure vessels, columns, heat exchanges, piping and storage tanks.
3- Thorough knowledge of related structural analysis and design for vessels, columns, tanks' support system.
4- Fully conversant with COMPRESS / PVELITE / TANK / STAADPRO design software.
5- Excellent communication skill; interpersonal skill; capable of attending technical meetings and effectively presenting technical information.

Job Responsibilities:
1- Applies engineering principles to analysis; designs (modifies or develops) Storage tanks, pressure vessels and similar products in the Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical industries.
2- Analyses engineering proposals and related technical data pertaining to Storage tanks, pressure vessels etc.
3- Co-ordinates with clients/consultants and reviews requirements and comments on engineering issues and recommends solutions.
4- Develops designs and details considering costs, material availability, time limitations, company planning and other economic factors.
5- Prepares / directs preparation of design and detailing on material fabrication time, constructability and erectability.
6- Analyses the design and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specification.
7- Carries out 'Optimization' review of design and details on materials, fabrication time, constructability and erectability.
8- Explains if necessary project scope of work, design details, project specifications and job requirements to Drafting Section, Estimators and Quantity Surveyors.
9- Recommends solutions for site engineering queries related to construction and erection.
10- Analyses and resolves work problems or assists Drafting Section, Estimators and Quantity Surveyors.
