Summary
Responsible for conducting hands on learning experience (practical) / mock-up HSE trainings to the project personnel during the new hires & project specific trainings at WND GFR Hazard School to enhance learning retention amongst trainees. During the training, they are to transfer their knowledge / necessary experience to project personnel to acquire the skill to identify task hazards, interact with the WND GFR site specific HSE requirements and the Safety Absolute requirements in a proactive manner in order to optimize response recognition with current work activities. Works directly with the Project HSE Training Manager and the construction team to develop and improve the craft's skills and competency on proper & safe use of an equipment's and tools.
Position Skills
Experience / Ability to effectively conduct hands on learning experience (practical) / mock-up HSE trainings classes to enhance learning retention amongst trainees in recognizing at-risk behaviors & unsafe conditions and adopt safety practices, mitigation measures. The trainer shall have relevant practical HSE training experience. Possesses Hands-on experience and conversant with different construction safety skills. Experience /Ability to demonstrate the technical aspects of all safety requirements on tasks such as fall protection, rigging, scaffolding, excavation, electrical safety, Lockout & Tag out etc. Experience /Ability to understand the site requirements as stated in the project HSE management system, Plan, policies & procedures. And aligns practical safety training to match the site requirements. Have a strong experience with using construction safety equipment and tools. Conducting the practical training on the variety of subjects and topics located in the hazard school. Be located at the Hazard School Training and be ready to deliver the practical training as required by the HSE training manager.
Other Qualifications
Shall have relevant practical training experience. Specific provision certified (Scaffold inspector, Rigging specialist….) OSHA Certified at least or equivalent (NEBOSH, NASP, IOSH…) Must be knowledgeable of the hazards identification process. Able to practically demonstrate the best practices for using the safety equipment and tools. Must have good communication skills. Fluent in Arabic and English required. Self-motivated, able to work under pressure This position is based in Alexandria and applicants must already possess the right to live and work in Egypt. This is a national contract position and the successful applicant will be employed by a third party company to provide services to Bechtel
