CHIEF ACCOUNTANT

El Shennawy Group is currently seeking to hire a Chief Accountant.

Location: 5th settlement, New Cairo
Department: Finance.
Reports to: Group Finance Director.

Main Duties

· Supervise and allocate the work of the accounting Section to ensure that all tasks are completed within prescribed timescales.
· Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
· Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed.
· Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
· Prepare accounting reports and present their results.
· Responsible for monthly consolidated financial statements, payments and cash-flow management.
· Work with the company departments on cost-reduction initiatives.
· Ensuring that company cost allocations are in line with the budget plan.
· Liaise with The Financial Director and Accounting Manager to improve financial procedures.
· Compare actuals with a budget and determine the reason for the variances monthly.
· Comply with financial policies and regulations.
· Identify any training and development requirements within the Accountancy Section and ensure that these are met.
· Carry out any other duties that are within the scope and grading of the post, which could also be requested by the line manager or Head of Service.

Job Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (English sector is a must).
· Relevant certification (e.g., CMA, CPA, IFRS) is preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
· 7 years of experience at least.
· Advanced MS Excel skills
· Very good in the English language.
