FACILITY MANAGER

Job Title : Facility Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
As a facility supervisor, the university building including its maintenance, cleanness is the main responsibility of the facility supervisor/ manager, oversee equipment maintenance and repair, inspect the grounds and assist other employees. Your main role is to ensure a safe and effective work environment and work on/ make sure that all the programs schedule is well allocated in the big classroom, small classroom, labs, workshops and lecture halls. This may require enforcing new policies, ensuring the proper use of equipment and reporting accidents. Depending on your level of responsibility, you may also need to confirm that all personnel are present and find solutions when someone is missing.

Other job duties may include:
· check the premises regularly to ensure security
· Record and report emergencies
· Supervise the janitorial staff and other workers
· Hire contractors for equipment installation and repairs after taking the needed approvals.
· Evaluate existing systems
· Identify technical problems
· Monitor planned preventive maintenance
· Oversee waste management, garbage collection, product delivery and other operations
· Carry out inspections of the facility
· Perform administrative tasks as needed
· Document lost and found items
· Participate in emergency planning
Facility supervisors may also be in charge of hiring and training employees, Generally, they are responsible for planning and rotating overtime or shift work, delegating tasks. More experienced employees have higher levels of responsibility. For example, they may assist with budget preparation, handle employee conflicts and purchase materials as needed. Experience: 3-5 years experienceSkills:
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with various constituents; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to remain calm and professional in difficult conversations or stressful situations
· Strong customer service mindset with special emphasis on looking for ways of improvement
· Initiative and excellent organizational skills; ability to work within a team or independently; ability to organize and prioritize work
· Proficient in the use of computers and information systems including Microsoft applications, a variety of software applications, and student information systems
· A commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
