What is this role?

We're looking for a shining star to join our People and Culture team at FlapKap. As a People Assistant, you'll work with FlapKap's team as an essential partner who make everyone's life easier. You'll be supporting the People team in achieving our business and people objectives, and providing a people focussed service. You'll also be assisting activity in all areas of employees life-cycle.


What will you do?

  • Provide day to day support in handling travel plans, processing expenses, setting up events and coordinating with internal and external colleagues.
  • Use Sourcing platforms to look for and connect with potential candidates
  • Review online portfolios and resumes to pre-screen candidates
  • Coordinate Interviews, send recruiting emails and follow up with candidates
  • Ask for referrals from internal and external networks for hard-to-fill roles
  • Develop a network of potential candidates and industry professionals
  • Log candidate information in our Applicant Tracking System and other internal databases
  • Identify future hiring needs and proactively source potential hires
  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives.
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies).
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
  • Work on sourcing candidates and update our database.

Requirements


What skills do you need to have?

  • In order to excel in this role; you need to be people obsessed, super proactive and have an exceptional growth mindset.
  • 1-2 years of proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant or relevant human resources/administrative position
  • Exceptional communicator with a fluency in English
  • Motivation to be a self-starter
