Job Description:
Act as senior mechanical engineer responsible for HVAC, firefighting and plumbing systems design and shop drawings for educational, commercial, office and industrial buildings. He will lead junior engineers and draftsmen (4-6 no.) to deliver the projects scope along with coordinating with other disciplines.

Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the design / shop drawings of HVAC, firefighting and plumbing works, preparation of drawings, calculations, BOQs and Specs, contract documents, etc.
2. Verifies that all designs, drawings and documents are to current codes and standards.
3. Participates in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs and codes
4. Attending meetings with Clients / Contractors to confirm the best design / shop drawings and systems are achieved and all disciples are fully coordinated.
5. Respond on technical queries, in light of design intent, applicable codes and standards.
6. Have a good understanding of site construction and have the ability to solve site / construction issues.
7. Assists the design managers in developing Request for Proposals (RFP) for consultancy services, participates in evaluation of technical and financial offers when needed.
8. Undertakes special and/or project assignments as applicable.
9. Coordinate with electrical department and understands the interfaces with structural and Architectural disciplines.
10. Organizes and supervises the work of junior engineers and draftsmen allocated to him and provides relevant support and/or advice to project teams as applicable.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering.
• Experience: +10 years.
• Has the experience of working on projects from Concept to Construction phases.
• Is fully aware of local and international codes and standards.
• Excellent user of AutoCAD – (Revit is an advantage).
