4Sale is one of the largest online marketplaces in the Middle East, and easily Kuwait's largest marketplace. We connect millions of users to hundreds of thousands of listings on any given day, through our mobile apps as well as our website: http://q84sale.com.

 

We’re established, profitable, and comfortably fund our own expansion with no outside help.

While most of our customer base is in the Gulf, the bulk of 4Sale’s headcount actually operates and makes decisions out of none other than Zamalek, Cairo, where we have a beautiful office, and employ some of the most impressive people in Egypt’s Tech landscape.

 

We’re already winning in Kuwait, but to us the sky’s the limit and we won’t stop innovating on behalf of our customers.

 

To that end, we’re expanding our business lines and breadth of operations, and of course we’re constantly refining our products so that they are seamless, fun, and useful. This is not easy to do! In fact, it’s a ton of work. Which is why we need the most talented people in the country to come and help us out. After all, our mission is to Become the largest online marketplace in the Middle East.

About You

Responsibilities

 

The head of PR is responsible for managing public relations at 4Sale and ensuring we are top of mind as an employer of choice for top caliber talent. You are expected to:

 

Lead PR externally by:

  1. Curating informative and relatable content about 4Sale’s activities and culture, and publishing it on a regular basis on highly visible platforms (e.g. LinkedIn).
  2. Responding to and commenting on relevant LinkedIn accounts or content (i.e. events, trending topics) that would position 4Sale as a company to watch.
  3. Monitoring and curating feedback & reviews across all of 4Sale’s public platforms (e.g. Google, Maps, Facebook, Glassdoor, Appstore, Google Playstore), and troubleshooting when down-trends are identified to quickly resolve.
  4. Collecting and publishing employee feedback to bolster 4Sale as an employer of choice
  5. Identifying internal ‘LinkedIn Ambassadors’ and providing them with seed content / ideas for them to publish and share. This can be anywhere from technical articles that benefit the sector as a whole, to relevant thoughts and reflections on working at 4Sale or in the industry.
  6. Establishing and maintaining solid relationships with relevant digital and print journalists to ensure 4Sale is always top of mind.
  7. Establishing and maintaining our PR roadmap which should include but not be limited to:
  8. Organizing interviews with leadership team and key team members
  9. Podcasts
  10. TV
  11. Magazine / Blogs etc
  12. Securing 4Sale participation at events (tech, university, startup, hackathons)
  13. Organizing 4Sale events (such as milestone parties, case study panels, etc) and ensuring relevant external participation
  14. Organizing relevant, substantive, and engaging events with local partners or the wider Tech community in Egypt to discuss current trends and challenges, and host meaningful fireside chats.

 

Lead employer branding internally by:

  1. Organizing our weekly town halls which reinforce our culture, mission and values
  2. Celebrate successes / signpost key achievements
  3. Announce promotions
  4. Reminder on core values
  5. Arranging regular and ad hoc incentives for the team. This could be as simple as donuts or breakfast once a month, or as complex as an all-hands friends & family event.
  6. Listening to team members to identify which of our cultural values are resonating and which aren’t, and then acting quickly to ensure values aren’t being reinterpreted and that we’re always true to our core mission and values.
  7. Candidly sharing insights about employee engagement and feedback with senior management team.
  8. Documenting the moment at every opportunity and share successes and achievements
  9. Taking photos at company events / initiatives
  10. Drafting meaningful and impactful content to correspond with these photos
  11. Posting them online (see external platforms below)
