QC Engineer

Job Purpose:

Responsible for finding quality goods and services at an acceptable and competitive price that would meet the organization’s needs. This is to ensure that the components reach the factory on time fashion.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

▪       Handle planned orders, create requisitions for purchased items, and manage approval process through SAP.

▪       Identify and list down recommended / approved international suppliers based on the following: price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history.

▪       Issue purchase orders as requested ensuring speed time delivery of the required quantities.

▪       Negotiate contracts, agreements and pricing with suppliers.

▪       Prepare price comparisons to ensure compliance with the agreed upon contract price.

▪       Ensure that all orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts.

▪       Build relationships with suppliers.

▪       Calculate international freight charges to determine whether the purchase of the components is economically feasible.

▪       Track orders, confirm delivery dates and costs on SAP

▪       Review shortage reports and take the necessary actions.

▪       Review, update and track purchase orders until they are fully completed.

▪       Work with the planning department to help achieving the preset production plan.

▪       Review and follow up on all foreign purchase orders requested by all concerned parties/departments.

▪       Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in case of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods. 

▪       Trace and control costs of purchase materials and ensure achievement of all targets.

▪       Oversee all purchase requests and evaluate all inventory and specifications and maintain stock and prepare contract billing.

▪       Ensure payment terms are managed and optimized for improved cash flow and a significant reduction in deposit invoices.

▪       Receive invoices from suppliers and verify them against PO and delivery receipts.

▪       Ensure PO banking documents are received correctly.

▪       Ensure that sea freight shipments are insured.

▪       Provide custom clearance department with all shipment documents to follow up the release.

▪       Fulfill additional tasks as per job needs.

-       Fluent in English, a foreign language is an asset

Qualifications:

-       BSC from any discipline.

-       0 – 3 years of experience
