Cloud Pre-Sales Manager

Role Purpose

Cloud presales Manager role main objective is to lead a team of Cloud and security presales teams towards achieving enterprise solutions deal matrix growth across all segments.

1.    Cloud and security Presales - The Cloud presales team is responsible for partnering with internal and client servicing teams to provide cloud architecture insights and guidance in order to adequately architect and deliver client solutions. The Pre-Sales team acts in many ways as the Technology Subject Matter Expert that understands the cloud landscape, architectural models and solutions credibly, and possess the ability to discuss and present to Client stakeholders and technical members. The function leader should have a solid understanding of cloud computing and technology systems, as well as experience designing and transferring applications to the cloud.
i.    Explore market opportunities
ii.    Build Proposed high level proposed scope and solution components with customer, regulator, technology partners on the ground, in alignment and confirmation of product team that this solution fits with products roadmaps.
iii.    Validate opportunity components with relevant internal stakeholders for alignment and buy in.
iv.    Engage in RFI/RFP writeup phase with customer, increasing the potentiality of engaging relevant Vodafone solutions fulfilling the customer’s scope. 
 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

•    Grow solutions through direct customer engagement and pipeline growth.
•    Reach out for relevant Strategic partners who would be key for cloud & security business growth
•    Build business plans with Product owners and strategic partner
•    Work with Products team and strategic partners on the development of solutions products & services portfolio and ensures it meets the product owners business plans.
•    Innovation, thought leadership and asset reuse as part of solution creation
•    Demonstration of market / industry experience and knowledge, assistance in sales.
•    Provide technical leadership and mentoring to cloud presales team as appropriate.
•    Keep updated with latest technological advances and trends in relation to cloud technology
•    Support strategic tenders 
•    Help drive the cloud presales team in the pursuits and engagement in complex deals, matching outcomes to expectations
 

Key performance indicators

•    Build  business development & presales echo-system in enterprise solutions team based on continuous learning and high skill set hiring
•    Introducing consultancy approach base selling through the new role.
•    Increase Cloud pipeline to fulfil planned budget.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience

•    Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
•    Evidence of Use Conflicts for Constructive Change
•    Customer-orientated and innovative approach to service design and delivery and result orientated
•    Must have a solid understanding of marketing programs, events, and promotions, as well as experience in developing partner marketing plans
•    Hands-on, self-directed executive who plans, prepares and executes professionally
 

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

•    12+ plus ICT experience 
•    Solid IT offering background preferably with technical education
•    Digital Solutions, SaaS [ERP, E-commerce, Chatbot’s, e-wallets, etc] Hosting, Connectivity, Big data & analytics, IoT and professional services knowledge. 
•    Hands-on General IT experience is a must. 
•    A Commercial experience is essential
•    Professional knowledge about business development.
•    Ability to communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of people - external individuals, organizations and agencies
•    Ability to manage team, contracted staff, partnerships and relationships
•    Strong time management skills and motivation – ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
•    Understanding of revenue reporting needs and effective data & information management issues
•    Experience of working with budgets and financial systems
•    Ability to work and contribute effectively to a team
•    Commitment to own personal professional development
•    Experience of assessing and/or evaluating individuals and projects
