elmenus is a venture-backed food discovery platform with a total of $20M in funding based in Egypt. We are building a platform that combines a social, visual and personalized experience to help millions of people discover and order the food they will love. We are looking for the smartest, most impactful and passionate people to join our food loving team.

We are looking to spread our awesome experience to foodies in multiple cities in Egypt and soon enough to other markets. The Market Launcher will be spearheading elmenus’ expansions all the way starting from researching new market dynamics and different cultures up until growing it to scale and making our thousands of foodies, restaurant owners and drivers happier citizens in our ecosystem.

This is a very agile role that requires a multitude of skillsets. You will be juggling between business development, analyst, operations and marketing responsibilities. You will identify and establish critical partnerships in the city, fix operational bottlenecks and create a marketing strategy to scale demand through the right growth levers. Responsibilities:

• Own the success of the city from launch to stable growth
• Research new market trends, demographics and behavior patterns
• Managing the cross-functional timeline of tasks to enable successful launches
• Recruit and hire local teams
• Partner with key restaurants, driver suppliers, influencers and local brands in each city
• Establishing and refining the expansions playbook
• Generate demand to our app through events and marketing activities in collaboration with central marketing team
• Test new products and verticals in new markets

What you need for this job:

• 3+ years of experience (Role can be upgraded to senior based on experience level)
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Previous experience in consulting, business development, operations or entrepreneurial experience is a plus
• Ability to manage different priorities simultaneously and be focused on results
• Empathy and a natural appreciation for people, their differences and the value of their potential
• Great communication and people skills
• Excitement to be an integral part of building one of the fastest growing technology start-ups in Egypt
• Loving food and travelling is a must! You will be our brand ambassador in all the locations you launch
