Product Manager II

When you think of food delivery in the MENA region, we’d be pretty surprised if talabat didn’t pop into your mind first! Since delivering our first order in Kuwait in 2004, we’ve grown quite a lot over the past 17 years.

Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region with more than 3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept, talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less!

Our philosophy is to make sure we do what is right for our ecosystem - our customers, our partners, our people, our riders, and the communities in which we operate. Our #techforgood program allows our customers a safe and convenient way to contribute to important causes in their community through donating to local and international charities directly on talabat with a focus on food insecurity in the region. Since its inception in 2020, we have facilitated the donation of well over 1 million meals to those in need, as well as donated over $1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and customers. talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food delivery and q-commerce.

Role description:

• Be a part of Q-Commerce  Tribe at talabat leading the Order Fulfillment product 
• Develop the item replacement experiences that maximize the user satisfaction and allow the users to get items they want
• Build trust with our users to shop fresh products on talabat
• Create the feedback loops related to item quality and use that data to improve consumer experience across all parts of the business
• Manage our delivery promise to the users across the journey
• Be the advocate of our users, understand the problems they are facing better than anyone else
• Be the owner of your product vision and strategy 
• Translate the Tribe strategy into your team's OKRs & the roadmap
• Lead the product discovery with a cross-functional team
• Manage a wide range of stakeholders across talabat and Delivery Hero
• Work with co-located, remote, and central service teams (Delivery Hero)
• Create new delightful grocery shopping experiences with a cross-functional team
• Work closely with design, engineering, commercial, and operations teams
• Measure the success of the launched products and features

Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Marketing or a related technical field
• 3-5 years of experience in modern Product Management
• Your successfully launched new or significantly improved e-commerce ordering experiences
• You worked with and lead co-located and remote cross-functional teams (operations, commercial, marketing, product, technology)
• You optimized consumer-facing products with clear business outcomes
• You run continuous discovery and experimentation with the product users
• You track the health of your product by observing and analysing quantitative and qualitative data
• You translated high-level business and product strategy into the lower-level squad strategy
• You possess the ability to deliver on the insights obtained through customer research and interaction data by driving product vision and strategy
• You are able to influence people without having formal authority 
• You are able to motivate your team and build an engaging team culture
• You are a self-starter, passionate about improving the consumer experience 
• You managed a wide range of stakeholders by aligning on the objectives and challenges
• You are comfortable with ambiguity, able to balance priorities, and willing to take action
• You challenge the status quo and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Ideal, but not mandatory:

• You worked in a two or three-sided marketplace
• You have startup experience 
• You have grocery e-commerce experience
