Financial Director

ARAFA GROUP is looking for a Finance manager in retail field;
The financial Director is the senior most financial staff member of Arafa reporting to the Executive Director. The Financial Director (FD) is responsible for planning, directing and controlling the overall financial functions of Arafa by ensuring financial policies and procedures are in accordance with organizational policies.
Specifically, the FD is expected to:

SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Implement continuous financial audit and control systems to monitor the performance of Arafa, its flow of funds, adherence to the budget, its expenditures, income and other budgetary items.
 · Collaborate and coordinate the activities of financial service providers hired or contracted by Arafa including: auditors, financial consultants, the banking system and other financial venues.

· Develop a system for the planning, budgeting, and use of administration/overhead and income to Arafa, including effective system for tracking expenditure.

· Review pre-award assessments and audit reports of project partners and sub-grantees to ensure their capacity to manage project funds as partners or sub-grantees.

Qualifications

· Minimum of a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.

· Should hold professional accounting qualification-CPA/ACCA/CIMA and membership to a professional affiliation.

· Strong financial management skills: ideally has worked in a senior management role for 7+ years in commercial and/or non-profit organizations.

· Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing Finance Operations.

· Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Arafa.
