Summary

PenFed is hiring an Assistant Manager, Loan Funding in our Alexandria, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to oversee a team of Loan Funding Specialists, while performing second level loan funding and processing duties with the goal of minimizing potential risk for the Credit Union through accurate and thorough verifications of the specialists as well as being the second level support to the dealer body and internal /external customers.

Responsible for achieving monthly objectives as established by leadership. Act as the main point of contact for PenFed Management, area dealer management, various dealers, as well as Credit Union staff and members. Lead a small team of Loan Funding Specialists to ensure the highest standard of customer service. Provide second level support for internal/external customers, vendors and team members. Responsible for auditing and monitoring all loan funding activities. Ensure loan funding team is meeting daily individual objectives, provide training as needed to support excellent customer service. Prepare communication of all suspicious fraudulent activity and submit to appropriate Security personnel. Build strong working relationships with Sales, Credit and Operations team as well as the Dealership organizations. Ability to utilize loan calculators to execute basic financial mathematics including simple interest calculations and amortization schedules. Accurately articulate and apply BSA regulations and requirements utilizing lending practices and industry standard processes. Process sensitive documents in a timely and accurate manner, using familiarity with Truth in Lending, Reg. B and FCRA.

Education And Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

Minimum of one year supervisory experience preferred with previous customer service/administrative required, financial industry experience and dealers preferred. Minimum one (1) to (2) years' experience processing vehicle loans preferred Well-developed verbal and written communications skills, along with strong customer service orientation Must be able to work an occasional Saturday.
