Role Title: TPSR Service Specialist

Business: Operational

Grade: GCB5

Locations: Egypt

Role Purpose

The Job holder will be a member of the Global Third Party Security Review (TPSR) Service team within IT Security and forms part of the 1LOD (1st line of defence).

The team is tasked with information security assessments for 3rd Party relationships, to help minimize the associated Information Security Risks to HSBC, its shareholders, customers, employees, reputation and brand.

Responsiblities

Responsible for delivering the Third Party Service in line with the Global methodology to identify third party information security risks, in particular

Provide line / functional management to TPS team members Provide guidance for TPSR related enquiries Provision of MI / Reporting as required Ensuring good stakeholder engagement Working closely with TPSR colleauges in other geopgraphies Support overall activities of Global TPS, including any special initiatives / projects Owning and driving special projects Ensuring team and own adherence to global standard methodology, SLA’s, quality, templates and tools MI / Reporting (actual generation of reports or contribution to appropriate reports) May be required to deputise for Regional Service Manager Mentoring / Coaching / Guidance for other team members

Key Accountabilities

Delivery Service effectively and efficiently Propose process enhancements and tool improvements based on latest threats and changes in Group policy and standards Maintain subject matter expertise and knowledge of industry practices and strong risk management skills

Ensure compliance monitoring and internal controls are in place within the Service in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards

Customers / Stakeholders

Ensuring good stakeholder engagement Provide guidance and support to all customers/stakeholders

Leadership & Teamwork

Line Management of team, including conducting team / individual meetings, driving actions and implementations at a local level Assist service manager in conducting team meetings and any delegated activities Contributing to global meetings, driving actions and implementations at a global level Provides training and coaching to new and experienced team members

Operational Effectiveness & Control

Adhere strictly to compliance and operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC and regulatory standards, policies and practices. Ensure all changes to Policies/FIM are monitored and are reported to the relevant audience within the Services function

Major Challenges

For The Next 12-24 Months, Major Challenges Include

Ensuring global consistency for executing an IT Service Remaining current on regulatory requirements to ensure service alignment regarding design and execution Matrix reporting structure with competing deliverables, priorities and timelines Participating in global team to maintain multiple region, business and function risks consistently and centrally

Additional Challenges

Flexibility in working arrangements, as the role is likely to require irregular working hours Ensuring compliance with HSBC policy and standards while managing deadlines Fast paced environment requiring execution of multiple simultaneous deliverables Communicating technical subject matter effectively to non-technical stakeholders. In line with the overarching HSBC strategy, the implementation of new processes/policies must be globally consistent.

Role Context

Multi dimension services from risk assessment to operated controls executed in multiple regions and countries for Global Business, Global Functions and HOST.

Provide Global Business, Global Functions, HOST and IT Security with risk analysis, controls and risk findings through the execution of services. Needs to balance a diverse range of competing priorities several of which will be time critical. Work across several disciplines including process development and technology. Will work on issues that have a significant impact on HSBC since the information security risk is high with growing attention from regulators.

Management of Risk

This is a high profile area so risk management is the key underlying objective. This will be achieved by:

Ensuring that TPSR Service processes are engineered to address known and emerging threats, risks and regulations. Ensuring that strategic solutions for assessing, measuring and reporting on the Service are successfully implemented Continually reassessing the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology

Observation of Internal Controls

Maintain a strong compliance culture that adheres to the spirit and the letter of all laws, regulations and Group Compliance policies which apply to area of responsibility. Reports compliance to regulation and FIM requirements Ensure audit trail and artifacts for information security risks uncovered Respond to external regulators, if required
