What are my responsibilities?

Support the RC EHS Head with his duties, including in all cases assessing all EHS aspects in the RC and for coordinating communication on all relevant issues between the specialist departments, the RC and Sector Companies within the Region. This individual will also represent the RC’s interests in national bodies. Implementing, monitoring and further developing RC strategy and programs Monitoring the organizational units of the RC and associated companies in the Region Identifying all issues related to EHS including hazard identification in his area of responsibility. Cooperating in internal and external bodies Drawing up RC’s quarterly and annual reports Keeping proper records and documents of RC’s EHS aspects. Supporting the RC’s disaster management system Reviewing of EHS MS periodically, and efficiency of implementation. Support the company in the contractor selection and prequalification. Training and briefing employees to ensure that they understand their EHS responsibilities. Providing sufficient information, instructions, training and supervision for projects/sites managers and employees to enable them to perform their duties safely and without risk in accordance with statutory requirements and the defined workflows. Providing sufficient information and reporting to RC EHS officer to measure the overall performance versus the targets set and participates in setting the new targets. Tracking, implementation and effectiveness of the corporate EHS Policy as defined in the EHS Manual. Conducting/reviewing the EHS audits, inspections and other reports/documentation and implementation of any additional improvements or preventive measures required.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Bachelor Degree in Science/Engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in EHS and Fire & Safety Management Systems. 10+ years of experience in Health & Safety position. Working knowledge in Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems, Environmental Discharges, Incident Command System, Incident Investigation by using TapRoot , EHS Auditing Techniques, and Radiological Safety Work is generally office based, although in some roles you may spend a lot of time in the factory, plant or other working premises, such as construction sites. NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; is highly recommended Ability to train, influence and motivate employees and team members. Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written English; communication skills and presentation skills
