Financial Project Controller For ABB Group

You will be working as a Project Controller and will be the part of Industrial Automation Business Area for Energy Industries Division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Business Communication Manager and will be responsible for supporting Senior Project Manager in all financial and commercial matters and actively driving the project’s performance assigned to multiple small and big projects.

Your Responsibilities

Tender Stage: Supporting the tender manager on financial aspects. Providing input to negotiations on commercial issues. Providing input in local risk review process.

Project Execution: Providing input to the project execution plan on financial aspects. Preparing project invoices, financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting). Driving project cash flow and overseeing currency risk and tax issues. Correcting project balance sheet, income statement, cash flow and monthly OR quarterly forecast.

Monitoring and Review: Participating in opportunity OR risk identification, monitoring that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented. Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews. Participating in preparing the project cost report. Verifying the substance for cost to complete.

Commercial Terms: Providing support on claim management, back-charges and insurance cases and monitoring the proper follow up together with the Contract Manager OR Project Manager up-stream (towards customer), side-stream (towards consortia partner) as well as down-stream (towards suppliers).

Compliance: Supporting the Project Manager in adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, country specific finance directives and instructions.

Your background

skA Bachelor’s or higher degree in Finance and Accounting.

Minimum 5 years of experience in project controlling.

Candidates should have strong leadership skill.

Candidate should have good analytical ill

Fluency in both English & Arabic languages is required.
