Sales Support Specialist, Cairo, Egypt

As a Sales Support Specialist, you will be part of the Industrial Automation Division and Measurement & Analytics Business Unit based in Cairo, Egypt. Tasks

Your main responsibilities in this role will include: Taking care of 50% of the LBU (Local Business Unit) sales support activities (Studies, tendering and proposals). Supporting Front End Sales personnel in achievement of LBU OR commitments. Partially having clear FES activities within Water industry. Defining the most suitable technology and product type(s) to be used based on application characteristics. Defining the configuration in accordance with bid commercial needs and requested quality metrics. Ensuring the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the offer, indicating prices and trading conditions. Analyzing customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by sales organization. Managing the first technical inspection to retrieve all the information needed to prepare the proposal. Obtains cost information from relevant internal contacts. Analyzing and evaluation of specific technical issues and associated risks. Identifying potential vendors for equipment and materials required in the project and technically evaluate supplier offers for alignment with specifications. Collaborate with supply chain management to coordinate requests of subcontractors. Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicate to customer/sales organization. Providing information to the Risk Review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the Risk Review assessment. Ensuring the needed technical support to sales managers during technical meeting with customers. Collection of documents regarding the offer/order and record assumptions and decisions taken during the development of supply/order. Regularly stay in connection with sales support at PMU’s in case of very special applications Being in a direct connection with customer to clear up any technical clarifications and ensure that solution as per customer expectations Regularly stay connected with the FES to agree the offering strategy based on customer category and also to follow up the submitted quotes on regular basis. Supporting the internal customers (Other ABB LBU’s) within their complete packages solutions.

Requirements

As the ideal candidate, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 3-4 years of professional experience in Bids & Proposal or On-site Service into field instrumentation / flow measurements / Process Analytics / Control systems, DCS and SCADA / Communications. High graduate studies or MBA would be an added plus. Proficiency in spoken & written English, Arabic and French languages is required.
