Conduct primary and secondary research focused in East and West Africa for IT devices and technologies including but not limited to: Mobile PhonesGoal is to be able to perform market sizing/brand share for responsible technologies for the countries assigned to you. Identify and maintain the correct industry contacts and obtain the information needed to perform market sizing and understand market trends.Ability to work well under pressure and strictly adhere to deadlinesRegularly work with quantitative market sizing and forecast toolsConsistently analyze business and market trends from large data sets Regularly write insightful reports (including publications and press releases) with ability to draw meaningful conclusions from dataContribute to custom research engagements, including with other teams within IDCContribute to business development by building and maintaining industry relationshipsPublic speaking and periodic public presentations at IDC events and clients Prepare strong qualitative write ups and required documentations each quarterExcellent written and spoken EnglishUniversity degreeMarket research experience, preferably with knowledge of the ICT marketPrinting and document solutions/Mobile Phones industry knowledge, IT hardware distribution or channel management is preferred

Candidate Has To Be Able To Demonstrate

Experience with primary and secondary researchHigh proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office software packagesAbility to discuss and provide a view on market trendsMust be a self-starter, with the ability to work independentlyExcellent writing and presentation skillsGood interviewing skills and communication styleAbility to develop and maintain industry and channel contacts
