Senior Handover Engineer for Hometown Developments

Hometown Developments is currently hiring a Senior Handover Engineer!

Job Requirements: -
 
- 5 years of experience in handover management, snagging, and post-construction quality control within developments and construction.
-Strong knowledge of building codes, quality assurance (QA/QC), and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) systems.
-Experience handling luxury residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
-Familiarity with project management processes and customer service best practices.

Skills & Qualifications: -

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Construction Management.
• Proficiency in snagging and quality inspection software.
• Strong understanding of handover documentation, warranties, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and client-handling skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with clients and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities: -

• Oversee and manage the handover process from construction to property owners and site visits.
• Conduct thorough snagging and de-snagging inspections, identifying and documenting defects.
• Coordinate with contractors and maintenance teams to ensure timely rectification of defects.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Prepare and present handover reports, completion certificates, and documentation.
• Conduct client walkthroughs, explaining property features and addressing concerns.
• Ensure a smooth transition by managing warranty periods, defect liability periods and customer complaints.
• Provide feedback to project teams for quality improvement in future developments.
