ABB Grid Automation, provides industry leading solutions for Substation Automation, Protection, SCADA and Mission Critical Communications applications, network Control and Enterprise software.

This role is responsible for market development and sales of large SCADA products, specifically Network Manager SCADA / DMS, SCADA / EMS, SCADA / GMS, Outage Management and related systems and services within the North Africa market, based in Egypt, in accordance with the strategy of Grid Automation, Network Control business. The objectives are to build long term customer relationships and manage solutions to specific customer needs and issues, while identifying, developing and closing sales opportunities.Main Accountabilities:
  • Volume and profit: Selling Network Control systems and services to customers, focusing on assigned volume, mix and profitability targets for the Business Units.
  • Customer relations: Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Promoting customer understanding of full systems and services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Sales plans: Preparing sales plans using company tools. Perform regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Sales: Creating value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
  • Marketing: Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
  • Strategy: Collaborating in execution of sales strategy, goals and plans in the assigned region in accordance with the defined guidelines and targets.
  • New market opportunities: Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated Southern African market and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
  • Administration: Managing administrative procedures in sales processes, and support collection and project management activities when needed.
  • Offer preparation & Sales operations: Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
  • Reporting: Managing and maintaining the CRM, sales reporting tools, to manage leads, opportunities and accounts and report the sales and business performance in different countries in the assigned territories. As the ideal candidate, you should have BSc in Electrical Engineering / Electronics /Automation) from well-reputable university in addition to a sales qualification. MBA is a plus.
You must have a proven track record of at least 10 years in Electrical Industries with minimum of five years in the sales of Network Control large SCADA system solutions, meeting sales targets and increasing value for the company. Demonstrate competency in selling a solution to meet a customer requirement is required.

Strong communication and presentation skills as well as analytical, strategical and critical thinking with effective time management and organizational skills. Strong negotiation skills, exceptional knowledge of sales, business and marketing processes. Should be able to travel as required.
