Mission

The role of the Happiness officer is to ensure proper communication from Management to Valeo Egypt’s employees, with the objective of enhancing employee understanding of Valeo’s strategy; in addition to effective communication of Valeo corporate identity, purpose, goals and activities that helps our colleagues in relieving and developing day to day work, in addition to identifying, creating and maintaining suitable/useful internal communication tools.

Also, the Happiness Officer is coordinating the IP (Involvement of Personnel) network in the region while supporting the deployment of Group IP strategy and related initiatives, together with the HR teams on site. The Happiness Officer is promoting best practices, encouraging collaboration between sites, supporting the training activities on IP policies and methodologies, supporting self-assessment and post-V5000 audit action plans preparation.

Responsibilities

Plan and organize effective internal communication campaigns aligned with Business group and site needs in order to support business strategy and involvement of the employees:

Elaborate and deploy site Internal Communication Plan, following the Group Communications Orientations and Master Plan, the Business Group Orientations and the Site’s operational objectives Create local communication campaigns, events and activities suiting the national/ site direction. Work with different departments to get input and approvals from concerned parties in terms of communication objectives & plan of action Work on executing approved plans and integrating with needed parties to make sure that it takes place on the planned dates Manage external agencies on required tasks & campaigns execution Manage budgets and monthly analysis of budget status

Plan & organize the internal communication network with its different tools including:

Defines editorial calendar and develops local content (messages, articles, interviews, presentations, photos, videos) to ensure effective communication within employees Participate, plan, organize, and work on executing organizational and site campaigns and events. Update appropriate communication tools including:

1- Update Communication screens & ensure they have adequate messaging with right balance of relevant content

2- Write & disseminate site newsletter on quarterly basis

3- Write articles for important events, visits, & campaigns to be published on the Hub

4- Update Valeo Egypt internal communication portal “Life@Cairo”

Prepare monthly analysis and reports on communication activities progression in terms of implementation, budget, and convenience & prepare the following monthly reports:

1- Axes report

2- Monthly presentation to the General Manage

Plan & apply the IP Strategies

Support the Plant / Site General Managers & HR teams to understand Group IP strategy and apply the IP tools Animate the IP network to strengthen the IP expertise in the region Organize regional IP network meetings Share IP best practices between all sites in the Regions. Help the sites to define IP priorities and action plans (with Plant/Site General Managers and HR) Review the Site IP deployment plan vs Group/BG orientations, aligned with sites priorities Help the Sites to identify improvement opportunities. Deploy and support Group initiatives in the region.

Organize On Site Activities

Coach, train & support the sites in the region on IP processes implementation. Check regularly efficiency of IP roadmaps deployment and ensure a close follow up of progress plans. Support the sites on the self-assessment and follow of V5000 audit results and action plans Support the sites by regular visits to review IP issues, priorities and train the HR new comers on IP.

Follow Up on IP Results

Follow up on sites IP indicators Measure the efficiency of IP processes implemented on site.

Contribute in Valeo IP Network

Contribute to the improvement of Group IP/HR standards & tools Participate to Group IP Monthly Committees. Contribute to selected Group initiatives, upon request. Active trainer on IPNIS, IP (5 Axes Regional) and Safety FirstBachelor Degree of Business Administration or Mass Communications 3-5 years of experience in a relevant field Excellent command of both English & Arabic is a must (spoken as well as written) Excellent communication skills Excellent Presentation Skills High level of Creativity Ability to Work under pressure Excellent Computer Skills Excellent management of external agencies Good budget management Excellent event management skills
