Job Purpose Responsible for the sanctioning of all unsecured / secured branch-based credit products within own. Maintain an acceptable quality of lending in accordance with manual risk policy guidelines.
Main accountabilities and approximate time split Credit Underwriting 90% Assess and sanction or decline applications for branch-based lending products within own discretion. Refer applications outside own discretion, with recommendations to Credit underwriting Team Leader/ Manager. Refer appeals or declined applications to Credit underwriting Team Leader/ Manager for manual reassessment. Identify fraudulent applications and refer to Credit underwriting Team Leader/ Manager. Apply manual risk policy guidelines to all applications received. Initial check of all applications to ensure that they comply with policy guidelines. Maintain a diary system to ensure that conditions of sanction are complied with and reviews are done in a timely manner.
Sales and Service 10% Close monitoring for applicatoins turn around time to ensure timely and effective closure of all cases within agreed TAT Provide guidance and support to branches and business line matters relating to credit lending ops. Support the business by applying and maintaining robust credit risk systems and processes Share best practice and knoweldge with front end Ensure reviewing cards boarding reports on V+ on a regular daily basis to ensure boarding with no duplication. Proper corrective action to be taken in case of any duplication or rejection from V+. Ensure that all lending decisions are complying with business /personal sector policy guild lines and adherence procedures in line with the retail credit risk policy manual. Daily review on cases to ensure clear I-Score status and limit facility within agreed DSR. Identify public officials and ensure that no differential pricing is granted to them. Ensure full compliance to all policies (local and global) and regulatory requirements.
