As the Drives Service Sales Engineer, you will be part of the Robotics and Motion (RM) Division, and Drives and Controls (DR) Business Unit based out of Cairo, Egypt. Robotics and Motion (RM) division is a world leader in a wide range of automation products and services including drives, motors, generators and robotics.
Tasks Your main responsibilities in this role will include; Preparing workshop annual sales plans supported by solid sales pipeline targeting the increase of ABB penetration on RMDR (Robotics and Motion – Drives) Installed Base (IB). Mapping existing workshop service potential to continuously generate new business opportunities. Driving / implementing ‘Sales Force’ across assigned accounts and customers to generate workshop business. Taking customer loyalty to new levels by establishing long term strong relationships via professional service sales and delivery. Positioning ABB with Major Accounts capitalizing on our workshop service offering, developing Workshop business in the cluster. Setting winning strategies, margins and prices in cooperation with Tendering and Quotation according to Product Group / Business Unit strategy. Selling the RMDR services full portfolio with main focus on workshop business. Working closely with customers during budgeting and CAPEX planning phase to differentiate RMDR. Targeting competition IB with RMDR replacement and upgrade services. Pursuing service contracts to grow workshop business. Ensuring expanding coverage in areas, customers and segments where RMDR has no presence. Performing competition analysis to sharpen ABB Sales Force and enhance our competitive edge in the market. Tuning case by case sales approach and pricing strategies in line with opportunities mapping to keep RMDR well positioned to win. Defining, recording and archiving service account plans for assigned accounts including player maps, contacts, risks, opportunities, challenges and future investment plans. Matching RMDR Services Portfolio with customer requirements and ensure optimum services are proposed. Identifying the most recommended & cost efficient services in cooperation with B&P Team. Preparing accurate and optimized FCM’s (futures commission merchant) in favor of securing strategic sales leads. Closely and continuously following up with customers and supporting functions to ensure invoicing and collection on time. Achieving OR Target with targeted GM% coupled with significant contribution to the fulfillment of the rest of BU KPI’s. Improving NPS (Net Promoter Score) rating at customer base. Following rigorously with zero tolerance ABB Business Ethics and Guidelines.
Requirements As the ideal candidate, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Automation Engineering with minimum 3-5 years’ of work experience in Sales, preferably in Drives along with Financial and Commercial Background. Proficiency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required, spoken French would be a plus for this role.
