Cost control engineer

· Development of Cash flows and providing the accounting department with necessary information for invoicing and accounting
· Administers budget variance tracking for the project
· Review new project budget and cost codes against estimates
· Manage the Project Status Report process for all projects within the regional office
· Review all monthly Project Status Reports with the Operations Manager prior to issuing to Corporate Office
· Analyze department team forecasts
· Review status of project Change Order
· Manage the Contract Modification, review final entry prior to posting
· Review project Cashflow reports with each project team
· Assists with the development and management of the cost control systems to provide project and company management with accurate financial information

· identify and report value engineering and cost reduction opportunities
· This position will manage a staff of cost engineers
· Supporting the development of estimates and budgets
· Supporting the development of plans and schedules
· Tracking performance against the budgets and schedules while correlating performance information against the work processes
· Analyzing variances of both direct hire and contract hire work activities
· Identifying trends where deviations are about to occur unless action is taken
· Identifying potential scope changes
· Providing input on project schedule
· Tracking labor charges and rates against budgets
