Job Description

The Senior Accountant is responsible for processing, accounting for, and reporting on grants and awards in compliance with both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and OMB Circulars A-110, A-122 and A-133 primarily. The incumbent in this role will also design, implement and maintain business process documents. Must be familiar with USAID Grants. Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for the monthly accounting for all applicable grants/awards which includes but is not limited to: travel advance accruals, revenue je's, expense allocation je's, review of all grant related wire payments. Also prepares the annual NICRA calculation. Responsible for the monthly/quarterly/annual grants related reporting which includes but is not limited to: Pipeline reporting, Baseline reporting, FFR reporting. Develops and implements business process documents as needed to ensure mission critical tasks are maintained in the event of an employee absence. Provides lead level support for interim and year end audits, governmental audits, or other internal/external 3rd party inquiries by preparing PBC's, liaising with the external auditors and conducting analysis as needed primarily related to Grants Accounting. Interacts with Finance, and other internal and external stakeholders on a routine basis to ensure data accuracy and compliance with GAAP, OMB Circulars, and other pertinent regulations. Functions as the primary backup and support for ad hoc roles as assigned by management. Performs other duties as required. Required Skills CPA preferred. Experience with Oracle Financials is preferred but not required. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft software (Word, Excel). Individual must possess the ability to influence without direct authority. Results driven with demonstrated successful outcomes. Ability and desire to work well with diverse employees and customers in a cooperative and friendly manner. Must possess ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to lead within the group and oversee certain tasks, projects, and/or staff/temporaries on an as needed basis. Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.

Requirements: BS in Accounting with 4+ years of industry experience. Public Accounting and/or CPA highly preferred. Versatile ERP/Software experiences such as SAP, Oracle, Great Plains/MS Dynamics, Deltek (Costpoint, GCS), JDEdwards, QuickBooks, etc. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics To Apply: Please send resume to [Click to show email]
