Job description:
The IT Manager is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our university computing needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage & Supervise IT Team.
· Assure technology infrastructure meets the needs of the university.
· Led large IT projects, including the design, and budget plan.
· Procurement and deployment of new IT systems and services.
· Including defining and implementing IT action plans, policies, and procedures.
· Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational standard policy.
· Ensure software licensing laws & and regulations.
· Estimate the IT department’s annual human capital and material needs to determine its annual budget, according to the business objectives of the organization and its strategic plans.
· Ensures systems migration processes go smoothly and do not interrupt business activity.
· Provide orientation & and training to users of existing or new technology.
· Work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, and develop high-quality cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
· Responsible for network, data security, and system backups.
Experience:
8-10 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Proven working experience as an IT Manager or relevant experience.
· Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems
· Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation
· Ability to manage personnel.
