Web Developer
Job Description
• Design and develop websites using industry-standard programming languages and technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. Ensure the websites are optimized for performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Implement user interface designs provided by the design team using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Ensure the websites have an intuitive and engaging user experience, with attention to detail in typography, color schemes, and imagery.
• Develop server-side functionalities and database integrations using technologies such as PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails. Create dynamic web pages, handle user authentication, manage content management systems (CMS), and implement e-commerce functionalities if required.
• Collaborate with Heliopolis University and content creators to manage website content, including regular updates, additions, and modifications. Ensure content is properly organized, optimized for search engines (SEO), and accessible to users.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify and fix issues, ensuring the websites function correctly across different devices, browsers, and operating systems. Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of website performance and security.
• Monitor and maintain websites, ensuring uptime, security, and optimal performance. Apply security patches, updates, and backups regularly. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and project managers, to understand Heliopolis University requirements, provide technical expertise, and deliver projects on time. Communicate effectively with team members and Heliopolis University throughout the development process.
• Keep up to date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices. Continuously expand your skills and knowledge to enhance the quality and efficiency of website development projects.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Website Developer, with at least 3 years of hands-on web development experience.
• Proficiency in front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Strong back-end development skills using programming languages like PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and web development workflows.
• Solid understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile-first development.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
