Job Description

We are seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator (SPC) for our Alexandria, VA office. Our SPC’s are responsible for quotation activities, negotiations, selecting qualified suppliers, seeking alternate suppliers (when applicable), supplier negotiations (price, schedules and terms & conditions), and documentation write-ups. You will work with the Purchasing Manager to identify and qualify new suppliers to meet company requirements on new and existing product offerings. As a Coordinator, you will interface with multiple company teams and supplier partners.

Duties And Responsibilities

Assist with formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions) to company requirements. Perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification Review purchase requisitions for clarity, compliance, detail, completeness, and obtain additional information considered necessary. Actively manage the procurement process from order placement through receipt of products and subsequent payment of invoices. Actively manage supplier performance through consistent communication to ensure proper adherence to purchase order terms and conditions Participate in the invoice approval process to ensure that supplier invoices are in accordance with purchase order terms and conditions, and resolve issues as necessary. Review proposals, negotiates prices and terms, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. Assist Purchasing Manager with special projects Assist in the development of supplier strategies to improve quality and reduce cost and deliverability Assist in the taking of the physical inventory Provide forecast of materials to suppliers to ensure our periodic needs are being met

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commercial mindset. You should know how to evaluate market conditions and different suppliers. Communication skills will help you negotiate effectively and maintain profitable relationships.

Work well under pressure to meet deadlines, while managing priorities Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent customer service skills, with a high level of integrity and dependability Detail oriented, professional attitude, and reliable Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position
