INTRODUCTION
Alstom has been in Egypt since 1978, with vast experience in the Egyptian Urban and Mainlines Markets.
Alstom Transport with vast experience in the Rolling Stock, Signaling, and Infrastructure activities participated in the construction of Cairo Metro Lines (1, 2, and 3) with the renovation of the 52 Rolling Stock Units for line 1.
Also, Alstom served the Egyptian Railways market through delivering Engineering, Power Supply, Construction, Maintenance and Trainings of Signaling, Centralized Control, and Infrastructure of railway projects such as, Giza-Beni Suef, Beni Suef-Assuit, and Cairo-Alexandria lines.

Overall Purpose Of The Role
To ensure accuracy of actuals and Estimate To Complete data at the project level To ensure the economic and financial management of the project, following company procedures and ensuring risks and opportunities are managed to optimize the project financial targets Supports the Project Manager in the controlling/financial management of the project Supports the Bid Manager/Bid Team if required To ensure that the project finance situation as reported in Sector Project Reviews is accurate and sincere in respect with Alstom rules. Support the Project Manager in the controlling/financial management of the project
Responsibilities
Tender Phase:
Can be involved in the commercial/tender phase of a project to support all specific financial
demands (optimization of the contract financial terms, financial risks/savings, financial plans/forecasts,
hedging and bonds, …) Support the Bid Manager/Bid Team Project Phase :
Be the economic and financial advisor to the Project Manager Prepare, along with the Project Manager, the periodic Project Reviews with all relevant financial
analysis Control and optimize the project results through close involvement with the Project Manager and
the WP Controllers/WP Owners/Project Sub-Systems Managers and Cost Managers Challenge the Estimate to Complete in order to maximise the Project Margin Assure customer invoicing is done as soon as possible and play an active role in getting payment
from customer in the due time. Manage cash and follow-up the implementation ofcash improvement actions on the project.
Promote cash culture in the project Manage project bonds requirements and hedging to limit exposure Provide all Project financial reporting (orders, forecasts, weekly cash,…) Prepare the internal orders on the basis of the signed Work Package Sheets and communicate to
the Site Controller of the lead site (including variations). Review and analyse all B/S items linked to the project(s) Contribute to claims preparation. Review the contract database data for all units and its compliance with last SPR decisions Participate in the project Steering Committee, Risk analysis meetings and all decision-making
concerning financial or contractual aspects of the project. Support and prepare together with the Project Manager for all SPR/BPR submissions. In liaison with the relevant departments : in case of onshore activities , ensure that legal and administrative obligations are well implemented
for the Project such as Tax or obligations relevant to the structure (Branch or Subsidiary). In case of financing, ensure consistency between the Contract and the financing arrangements. In case of partnership (JV, consortium, GIE, SEP, …), ensure follow up of the financial aspects in compliance with the partner agreements.
Qualifications & Skills
EDUCATION: University degree in Finance/Accounting

+10 years Minimum technical knowledge in projects based business External recognition /accreditation are an added value. Competent in Project Management Tools (ADEL, SAP , PMS, Microsoft Project, CPR,MPR)Language Skills: Excellent command of Arabic and English (written/ spoken). French is an advantage Excellent presentation, communication, and analytical skills IT Skills: Knowledgeable in all standard office tools Location for the role? Travel? Cairo, Travel within Egypt
