We are looking for a Senior System Architect to join our engineering vertical for Smart Cities domain.

System Architect responsibilities include design, integrate, and implement program software systems to address and solve specific business problems to ensure that the new system meets the architecture requirements of existing systems or new systems and fits existing environments.

This requires the Senior System Architect to understand how all aspects of operating systems, processes, and application architecture work together so they can apply new systems to an existing business model.

Ultimately, you will work with the organization’s leaders to identify problems and then work with our IT Team to address those problems with innovative software solutions.

You will also be involved in working with senior managers, presales and business development teams, to support them in sales proposals, as well as supporting the development of new offers and services.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for analyzing and translating business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives.
• To work with application and infrastructure teams to review or produce optimal, high level designs.
• You'll conduct proof-of-concept projects to validate new feature sets and 3rd party technologies.
• Analyze the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for continuous improvement such as improving business processes, expanding capacity, reducing cost and increasing effectiveness.
• Document all solution architecture design and analysis work.
• Interface with internal IT management leadership, technical leadership and external requestors as a strategic value-add point to improve IT for completeness, consistency, availability, satisfaction, and to deliver quality services.
• Establish system requirements, designs, builds, and manage critical infrastructure deliverables while driving Technology Standards.
• Lead and spearhead formation and coordination of project plans.
• Utilize data-driven approaches and methodologies to reduce IT process gaps and enhance process effectiveness through automation.
• Monitor the processes, policies, procedures and standards applicability, effectiveness and efficiency.
• Ability to review complex processes, manage customer service and provide regular technical reports both verbal and statistical showing status of ongoing projects and goals.
• Designing, modifying, and testing technical integration architecture.
• Selecting the technology stack.
• Strong contribution for deliverables to support Engineering documentations.
• To ensure the execution of test runs in different test categories and monitor the test progress.
• Provide supervision and guidance to development teams.
• Continually research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
• Inform various stakeholders about any issues with the current technical solutions being implemented.
• Assess the business impact that certain technical choices have.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs and budgets.
• Defining application objectives and functionality.
• Aligning application design with business goal
• Developing and testing software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineering or software Development role for Platform Services with a preference for 3 years in a Solutions Architectural role.
• Preference Software development background in Java, .Net, & Web technologies supporting end user interface development.
• Preference for systems administration or engineering.
• Understanding of Application Architecture is highly preferable.
• Proven ability to develop detailed solution designs.
• Understands Architecture Constructs - (Architecture & Design patterns, protocols SOAP, REST, etc.), Development Methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Demonstrable ability to deliver results with large-scale & cross-functional teams leveraging efficient processes via automation.
• 3-5 years of technical software development experience, with a focus on software integration.
• End-to-end integration experience with software/web technologies.
• Solid understanding of Agile Product development.
• Proven work experience as a software developer, Scrum master, QC Tester, or similar role.
• In-depth understanding of coding languages and databases, Java, Java Script, ASP.NET, Python, HTML, DB MySQL
• Experience with user interface design, database structures, and statistical analyses.
• Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases.
• Efficient communication skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• An attitude of a team player with excellent communication skills; agile, creative and tenacious, who can thrive in a constantly changing environment.
• The ability to conceptualize the business requirements and convert them into the product requirements.
• Familiar with ITIL concepts; especially Service Design and Service Orientation.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers and business owners.
• The ability to work independently, be resourceful, and be able to deliver results with minimal direction.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• IoT and AI product technology is highly valuable but not mandatory.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial and operational mind-set, constantly focusing on delivering value to customers.
• Excellent writing & documentation skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Computer science, information technology or related fields.
• Fluent in English is a must.
