Purchasing Manager Industrial Your Role
Responsible for the relevant commodity budgets, strategy, sourcing activities and results for APAC-MEA
A Typical Day
- Strategic Planning for relevant commodities
- Lead the development and implementation of the strategy for the BA
- Foresees the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process in the BA
- Responsible for Business Process Mapping, defining the purchasing policies, procedures, manuals, and road map plan for the BA in line with the overall purchasing policy
- Review and consolidation of the procurement plans
- Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Coaching and supervising the team responsible for purchasing processes including preparation and conduct of RFQs, quotations, bids or proposals, their evaluation, negotiation, suppliers and contracts
- Measure and track the performance of spend and make proactive contact with relative stakeholders for all the dimensions of customer satisfaction, savings, cash, compliance, supplier base and risk reduction
Who You Are
- Proven track record of effective purchasing in a multinational environment
- Proven effectiveness in a complex matrix organization, ability to coordinate/lead contribution from other functions like R&D or Quality
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering is compulsory
- Purchasing professional qualification
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing
