Job Purpose A member of the Business Banking Team developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of Business Banking customers. A named point of contact for customers dealing with a range of requests including any overflow of work from Corporate Customer Service Officers (CCS). The role will include provision of support to Relationship Managers and other members of the Business Banking Team.
Main accountabilities and approximate time split Sales and Service Time Split: 30% Act as principal point of contact to the customer. Explore cross sell opportunities with customers. Maximize utilization levels with all customers. Assist in developing Customer Relationship Plan. Assist in preparation of Credit Applications. Conduct market and industry researches. Identify new customers and maintain database for potential clients. Prepare Call Visit Reports Deal with customer queries and requests regarding any bank product or service. Monitor level of customer service and satisfaction. Handle Customer complaints.
Business Management Time Split: 70% Collect documents from customers for various purposes (open accounts – signatures amendment - KYC – PEP review - FATCA - risk appetite – securities documentation – Marking the limits … etc. ) Handling all regular Administrative reports. Close follow up with CCS & Operations on customers’ daily requests. Collate customer produced financial information. Analyze historic and projected financial information to identify key issues. Review the Facility Letter Aide Memoire and liaise with customers for Signature.
Follow up with RCU & other stockholders to mark the facility on the core banking system and follow up with customers on the drawdown. Monitor and control the accounts to ensure full compliance to covenants, policies and the approval’s terms and conditions. Report any breach or early warning signs to Relationship Manager/ Head of Commercial. Apply all KYC policies and remediation process. Handle all AML alerts & updating clients’ Business Profiles. Attend Relationship Team meetings and contribute fully, including suggestions for ways of improving customer service.

Knowledge, Expertise and Experience Knowledge Good Knowledge of Products and Services used by Business Banking customers including features, tariff / pricing & E2E processes. Good Knowledge of Internal instructions / procedures / policies / regulations. Good Knowledge of the Mod bank and other bank systems. Awareness of legislation affecting the Bank and customers (Local Banking Acts and Company Acts) and have the highest regard for confidentiality Understand the roles and the responsibilities of Business Banking team Good knowledge of the Bank’s service standards.
Experience Minimum 3 years’ experience in Corporate, Business Banking or any relevant function. Good track record of relationship management. A specific coaching and training plan will be developed in order to achieve accreditation for the credit course. Achievement of this “certificate” will be an integral measure of success in the role.
