The Process Technology & Equipment (PT&E) AccountManager is responsible for all aspects of the technical sales cycle to ensurethat company and personal sales goals are achieved in all market segments. Theposition of Account Manager plays a key role in leading the sales effort withUOP’s potential and current customers. The objective of this position is toprovide the necessary customer coverage, relationship management and commercialand technical positioning of UOP’s technology in the refining, petrochemicaland gas processing industries to ensure optimum market share in Middle East. The successful approach requires flexibility, innovation and sensitivity toclient needs and to delivery of value.
The account manager will initially be based in Dubai (fora period of 6 months) and then based in Egypt.
Managing Middle East clients with focus on Egyptiancustomers, developing an understanding of the assigned customer, in particularwith respect to their business drivers, buying behaviors, and decision makingstructures
As necessary, assist SBU management with managing theinterface with key clients
Developing and maintaining relationships as necessarywith local representatives and key personnel within relevant engineeringcontractors and industry consulting groups
Developing and delivering agreed to sales revenue andmargin targets within budgeted expense and pricing guidelines for the MiddleEast
Organizing and leading internal RFQ/proposal review andpricing/bid strategy meetings. Prepare project specific sales strategies foreach event with close Interaction with Sales Technical
Services and Product Sales (as necessary)
Assisting in the lead role for negotiation and closure ofsales which will also include the preparation and finalization of commercialagreements necessary to close sales
Helping to forecasting sales revenues for customeraccounts on a monthly basis
Complete win/loss reports for projects in a timelyfashion
Assisting in managing accounts receivables for assignedcustomers
Assisting in identifying and communicating cross-SBUproject opportunities to the relevant SBU
Working with other global Sales team members to positionrelevant process technologies with a view to ensuring UOP’s success as well asmaximizing sales revenue
Gathering competitive intelligence for submission toBusiness Development Managers and Marketing
Minimum Bachelors in Chemical Engineering
At least 8 years Sales and/or technical experience with preference given to the refining and petrochemical industry
Ideally the candidate will have significant sales related (Account Management) experience
Previous experience handling UOP Technology
Has demonstrated strong understanding of the refining / petrochemical business practices and industries
Fluent in written and spoken Arabic is desirable.
Fluent in written and spoken English
Good presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills
PC literate with excellent computer skills in a Microsoft environment
Willing to travel 50% of time from home location
