Senior SRE Engineer
Core Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability, maintainability and efficiency of Talabat’s overall infrastructure.
• Independently conduct research, design and deploy complex systems.
• Take ownership of solutions and implementations to improve Talabat infrastructure.
• Proactively makes suggestions for how the team can leverage new technologies and architectures to improve engineering operations.
• Comfortable with writing system documentation and contributing to standards and procedures.
• Consistently write production-ready code that is easily testable and understood by other engineers.
• Comfortable with organizing and delivering tutorials/talks in advanced systems and infrastructure topics.
  
  

The Following Experience Is Relevant To Us

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering.
• Bachelor or Masters in computer science, IT or related fields.
• Architectural knowledge and understanding of the distributed systems.
• Strong background and experience with linux operating system experience (windows operating system experience is plus).
• Good understanding of networking (DNS, NATting, routing and subnetting).
• Strong experience in cloud infrastructure (predominantly Amazon Web Services).
• Good programming and scripting experience (bash/python/golang with a plus on powershell).
• Experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts with familiarity with tools like Azure Devops, Circleci, Github action and Argo CD.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and comfortable with tools like terraform, ansible, packer, etc
• Experience with container orchestration tools like docker, containerd, kubernetes.
• In-depth understanding of application and infrastructure security.
