Job Description The Support and Deploy, Service Offering Development team is chartered with the development of professional service offerings that enable EMC’s Professional Services teams to position, sell and deliver high value consulting and product deployment services and solutions to our customers. At the center of the professional services offerings is the EMC Dynamic Generator for Engagements (EDGE). EDGE received the 2012 industry TSIA Star Award for innovation in professional services. EDGE is a proprietary solution that enables our field professional services team to efficiently scope, estimate and price customer engagements and to drive a globally consistent customer experience. EDGE is also where professional service offering content lives and provides value in the development, production and publication of service offering content, through the content management system (CMS) functionality.
The EDGE Development Architect owns the creation and quality of offering content that resides in EDGE. As a key member of the service development project team, his role interacts with a number of cross functional team members including Project Management, Service Design Leaders, Technical Writers and Service Architects. External to the direct team, this role also interacts directly with the EDGE Content consumers. The EDGE Development Architect provides leadership and guidance, to the Service Architects, to ensure EDGE content drives the maximum value. Working with the Global Theater Quote Centers, the primary users of EDGE, the EDGE Development Architect gains user perspective and identifies needs, challenges and opportunities to develop and refine EDGE content to drive maximum value of the service offerings.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities Consult with cross functional subject matter experts to architect, develop and publish EDGE content. Drive consistency by ensuring that all EDGE content meets the established standards. Maintain the value, relevance and integrity of EDGE by interlocking with Theater Quote Centers to gain field user perspectives. Identify and justify opportunities to continuously improve EDGE to drive high value. Collaborate with EDGE operations team to turn ideas into successful reality. Interlock, support, train and enlighten Theater Quote Centers and Global Resource Management teams to enable their success.
Working knowledge of PC or Server Hardware and Components or troubleshooting experience Basic programming or scripting knowledge such as one of shell or C++ or Python, Perl etc. .
