Accountant (Cairo, Egypt)

An excellent opportunity for a General Accountant with good experience of handling AR, preparing tax returns, GL reconciliations, month end closing and reporting.



Duties and Responsibilities:



Handle accounts receivable (booking of all AR related transactions in line with Company policies and procedures, follow up on payments, send statement of account and contact customers to chase for payments, production of accurate and timely reporting of ageing) Input and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger bookings , analysis of movement of accounts & Monthly reconciliations of assigned accounts Book accruals and other adjusting entries. Handle petty cash fund Monthly bank reconciliations Handle letters of guarantee and Letter of Credits forms with the bank. Preparing and filing all local tax returns in liaison with KMPG. Working with the team on tax inspections, labor office and social insurance inspections, and bookkeeping requirements. Annual internal & External audits support Support the month-end closing (prepare and analyse Trial Balance schedules; and do any other ad-hoc analysis from time to time) Monthly & Annual Reporting assigned reports.



Required Skills and Experience:



Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce 4+ years’ experience in a similar role working in a multinational and multicultural environment Excellent knowledge of Accounting standards and principles. Strong computer literacy and Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Charts..etc) Expertise on the use of accounting software, experience with SAP is a preference
