Job Summary To properly execute security duties on assigned shift to adequately protect the life and property of guests, team members and casino.
Essential Functions Represents Sheraton Casino in the most positive manner with internal and external guests to satisfy service expectations. Responsible for the safety of all patrons and employees in and around the casino. To ensure the physical security of the premises and all assets in and around the casino. Creates a safe and friendly environment for customers and employees. Controls and/or restrains physically aggressive and violent persons. Works with the surveillance and casino staff to ensure the overall security of the casino. Identify and deny access to individuals who are under the age of 18 and to suspicious persons. Enforce restricted access to nonpublic and secured areas (e. g. Gaming pits and all administrative areas) Responsible for the transfer to and from respective table games. Provides escort on and off the gaming floor as required. Ensure the safe and direct delivery of drop boxes to count areas. Monitor the closing of tables, cash count, removal of buckets, hoppers and slots count. To be assertive and able to deal with difficult situations in a discrete manner. From time to time presence of security on the main floor is very important. Perform all other duties assigned within the scope of work.
Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. In addition some states may have additional licensing/registration requirements to be considered for this position. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
