Oracle is actively seeking an experienced Implementation Engineer to join our Managed Cloud Services (OMCS) Implementation team. This team provides DBA services to Oracle customers and their SI’s up to and Go Live, including the first 4 weeks of production support. In addition this team provides an EBS technical upgrade and cross platform migration service. The team provides services on Oracle’s Cloud Platform (IaaS, DBCs) as well as working on Oracle’s Engineered System Solutions (Solaris SuperCluster and Exadata).

Brief Posting Description:

As a member of the OMCS organization, you will act as the technical authority. Your focus is to work on implementation customers for EBS providing Oracle customers with DBA services up to and including go live and in the first 4 weeks of production. The ideal candidate must have very strong understanding of EBS administration and integration based on many years of hands on experience. and they would be seen as a leader and “go to” person in their current organisation. The implementation team also provide technical upgrades and platform migrations candidates with these skills would have a distinct advantage. The role involves working with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), Project Managers, and 3rd Party Vendors as well as with internal Software Operation teams.

• Work is sometimes non-routine and complex tasks involving application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.

• Excellent technical judgment and ability to identify problems and recommending/implementing solutions.

• EBS Upgrade and Migration Experience

• Seven years of experience supporting E-Business Suite and Oracle Database.

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree with academic excellence.

• Oracle Certified DBA and technology professionals are carrying very good credentials for this position.

• Experience with an organization providing 24x7 Support.

• Ability to work on public holidays/weekends (if required)

Detailed Description:

As a Principal or Senior Technical Engineer, you are instrumental in researching, evaluating, designing, testing, recommending, and planning on going change of EBS components. You will perform the role as a technical lead providing detailed documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing system operation and maintenance. The candidate will act as Technical Authority.

Technical skills required:

• Maintain EBS customer environments

• Familiar with EBS Customizations and Interfaces

• Upgrade and Migration Experience

• Configuration and Integration expertise of EBS ( 11i, 12.1, 12.2) and workflow management

• Troubleshooting skills for critical Database, Application, Networking and System administration issues

• Oracle Database Performance Tuning and techniques (SGA tuning, DB Tuning, Application Server tuning)

• EBS application patching and configuration, AD utilities, autoconfig, SSO, OID, EBS Printing, BPEL/SOA

• OS Administration

• Patching, disk management, install software UNIX , LINUX , WINDOWS etc

• Training on new software releases

• Oracle database 10g/11g/12c , WebLogic Server 10 etc

• Familiarity with Exadata and ASM configurations

• Familiar with Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM) monitoring and reporting as well as RMAN

• Good technical knowledge of Weblogic Server administration.

• Understanding of cloud computing technology and administration
