Job Description

As a software tech lead engineer at zlien you will be responsible for the overall technical quality and reliability of your team's output. You will be leading development of new features and redesigning existing modules of our application to be more scalable and efficient. You will help us improve our application’s architecture, and will work on engineering solutions to different challenging opportunities. Also, you will get a chance to shape a fast growing successful web application that is adopted and used daily by enterprises.

Our software technical leads engineers have strong background in full stack web development, lead by example, and no problem can stop them. They are good problem solvers, knowledgeable about algorithms and data structures, and are well versed in coding using different technologies. Additionally, they should be capable of leading a team to produce quick output with good quality. Our backend development is done primarily in PHP, so having previous PHP experience is a must.

Job Duties

Provide technical mentorship and insights to the teamEnsure software quality and reliability of the entire team's outputPlan, design, develop, debug, implement and support full stack web-based software applications and servicesModify existing software to add new features, correct errors, allow it to function in new operating environments, or improve performanceSupport the team in identifying and addressing missing parts to finalize and deploy code.Enhance and comply to project coding standards and industry best practicesWork on a shared code base, in a team environment, cooperating with co-located and remote team membersImprove software quality by conducting systems analysis, and recommending changes in policies and proceduresProduce detailed software design and specificationsParticipate in planning for software development projects, and ensure projects are concluded according to the planned delivery datesRepresent the team in collaborations with partners and clients as needed

Qualifications

7+ years of web development experienceExcellent understanding of software engineering conceptsGood problem solving and research skillsTeam leadership skills Good knowledge of algorithms and data structuresHigh accuracy in work and keen attention to detailsExcellent development skills using PHP, or other open source technologiesGood communication skillsFamiliarity with jQuery JavaScript framework is a plusFamiliarity with PHP MVC frameworks is a plus
