Partnering closely with the Managing Partner of Cognitive Solutions Business Unit, in IBM Middle East & Africa and reporting to the VP HR, the position of HR Leader, Cognitive Solutions requires deep insight into the business in order to seamlessly apply your capabilities across Cognitive Solutions BU and HR functions and add value to the entire business. While acting as the face of HR and Talent to the executive leadership team, you will also need to provide strategic HR support to them. You will have expert skills and expertise in organizational development, employee relations, problem solving and conflict resolution, change and transformation, analytical and consulting skills.
The HR Leader identifies and drives HR initiatives aligned to the organization and will provide guidance to managers and cross-function business unit leaders, which requires this role to leverage the entire HR community, the MEA regional HR leaders and the functional HR and Recruitment teams. The HR Leader is the key stakeholder in addressing cultural transformation, skills gaps and compensation with business unit leaders, managing individual executive issues personally and identifying business unit and IBM organisational needs.
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Country Human Resources (HR) leader is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of human resources in line with IBM's People Strategy and priorities. The incumbent will be charged with aligning HR initiatives with business strategy, ensuring the attraction, development and retention of talent required to drive business growth. The Country HR leader will lead the HR team and is accountable for building functional capabilities, and integrating HR activities to enhance IBMer experience. The Country HR leader is a member of the country leadership team and the regions HR Leadership team. The incumbent will provide thought leadership, consulting and coaching to leadership teams, with a particular focus on organizational culture and values, talent management, leadership development, succession management, IBMer experience, total reward, diversity and inclusion, and change management. The incumbent will work with other HR team members both across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey region and globally.
Required Professional Expertise 10+ years overall business experience; significant portion in a HR leadership role.
Extensive generalist and specialist expertise across areas that include talent management, leadership development, organization effectiveness, and change management.
Demonstrable record of contributing to business results though innovative HR initiatives, enhancing employee experience, and building high performing HR teams.
Track record of effectively leading others, directly or indirectly.
