The Opportunity  
Sandvine Solutions Engineers combine a strong technical background with great organizational and communication skills to provide pre-sales and technical design advice to customers/partners in new sales opportunities. You will be working alongside Sales, Support and partner's Sales Teams in achieving the goal of providing the ideal solution for qualified opportunities. You will accomplish this by identifying, technically qualifying and addressing the prospect’s requirements through consultative methods.
The Regulatory Solution Engineer role shall require you to have deep knowledge of Regulatory line of business. It is expected that you not only have a deep understanding of Regulatory Use Cases but also have hands on experience in solving issues which Regulators/LEA face today. You shall use your thought leadership, in this area, to articulate the ‘advantages’ of having a DPI layer in Regulatory/LEA networks. You shall also help Sandvine Product Management to enhance the feature portfolio to better meet the Regulatory market requirements.
You shall be working with a dedicated Sales Account Manager, as part of Sandvine’s MENA-Turkey Sales Organization and reporting to the Regional SE Director.


Please note: this role works remotely. Qualifed candidates from either Egypt or Lebanon will be considered. 

The Job

  • Provide pre and post-sales support through requirements gathering, proposal development assistance, and delivery of technical presentations via online meetings, on-site meetings, and technical marketing events.
  • Participate in regular meetings and conference calls with Customers, and the Sandvine sales teams to help qualify opportunities and recommend technical solutions.
  • Proven track record of presenting to C-Level staff including Head of Regulatory bodies and LEA.
  • Installing, configuring and tuning Sandvine Networks equipment and leading customer solution evaluation trials and/or POC engagements.
  • Develop and work with others within Sandvine to define technical assets such as solution designs, proposals, product specifications, RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses, diagrams, BOM’s, and quotes/estimates.
  • Effectively answer technical questions regarding the proposed solution that may include questions about installation, configuration, and integration related to qualified use cases and deployment scenarios.
  • Provide consultative product and solution expertise along with Partner update training oversight, as new hardware and software releases evolve.
  • Develop understanding of integration customer eco-systems and networks to work with PS and / or outside partners to deliver required solutions.
  • Establish and maintain a strong and trusted relationships with customers and key technical decision makers.
  • Attending and participating in regional events on behalf of the company.
  • Collaborate with the product team to identify and realize technical improvements to the product, based on customer and partner feedback.


What Skills You Bring
  • BS/BA or related degree and 5+ years professional experience in technical pre-sales within the Regulatory-LI/Telecommunications/Security industry; working with not only, Tier-1 mobile and/or fixed line service providers but also Gov Regulators and LEA’s.
  • Proven track record with LI vendors, Traffic Aggregation Vendors along with working knowledge of Surveillance Analytics Solutions.
  • Experience or exposure into Data Analytics & Visualization platforms (i.e. Tableau, MicroStrategy, etc.).
  • Solid understanding and experience working with relational databases (i.e. Vertica, Postgres, etc.)
  • Experience working with full stack development
  • Good working knowledge of the following software development languages (Python, Javascript, SQL, HTML)
  • Exposure to Middle East North Africa Market Dynamics.
  • Desirable experience in Deep Packet Inspection technologies, analytics platforms and solution selling. Strong experience and background with Linux/Unix systems.
  • Good background understanding and knowledge of network management software systems (AAA, Billing, NMS, LDAP) and their interaction/integration with network elements.
  • Understanding of virtualization, including the underlying OS components (Linux, VMWare, Openstack, etc.)
  • Experience in installing and configuring IP network equipment in a Service Provider (Telecom) and / or Large Enterprise environment, with core network skills including RADIUS, GTPc, AAA, TCP/IP,DHCP, LDAP, SNMP, Ethernet is a plus..
  • Understanding of Wireless data technologies (CDMA, GPRS or LTE), architecture and standards (3GPP) a plus.
  • Understanding of Fixed line technology (FTTH, Cable, DSL) & Architecture.
  • Experience in developing and presenting solution designs.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and investigative skills.
  • Availability to travel for onsite pre-sales and POC activities. Travel to Africa will be required.

  • Excellent in communication (written and oral), presentation and listening in French (Required), English (Required) and Arabic (Plus).
