Job Description

Reporting to the Country Director, the HR Generalist will be responsible for overall HR function in Egypt and support the HR needs in other developing country program in the region. This includes strategic workforce planning, recruitment, talent development, employee relations, retention, payroll and orientation/onboarding in support of the organization's vision and mission in Egypt and new developing country program. S/he will work with hiring managers and HR HQ staff to strengthen the HR management capacity, and will apply good HR management standards and industry systems, processes, and practices.The following are key responsibilities of the HR Generalist: Proactively develop and maintain high impact and customer focussed working relationships with staff in country offices, understanding their business needs and challenges. Advice staff and line managers on terms and conditions of service, the provisions of the policy guideline, policy application and interpretation. Seeks the advice and guidance of the HR HQ on more complex matters or where there is cross organisational implications. If necessary, obtain legal advice on employment matters and staff health matters from relevant providers. Lead all aspects of HR administration, including recruitment, contract consultancy management, staff compensation and benefits administration, proper filing and documentation of personnel records, attendance records, and staff disengagement to ensure compliance with WorldFish's established standard processes and policies. Coordinate the performance management process and facilitate orderly completion of exercise. Support managers in staff learning and development by recommending suitable learning and development courses and/or initiatives through e-Learning Portal and other suitable channels to develop high performing teams. Proactively advise and coach managers on employee relations issues to enable actions and solutions that are in the best interests of the organisation. Undertake case management of disciplinary and grievance issues where necessary. Coordinate with country office Finance to provide accurate monthly payroll information to HR HQ, and processes staff benefits claims in line with policies and within delegated authorities. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure WorldFish's compliance with local labour laws. Where necessary, communicate latest labour regulations, current and emerging trends, best practices and recommendations to Country Director and HR HQ. Maintain up-to-date and accurate staff related information (staff profile, employment contracts, job descriptions, performance agreements and all other employment related documents) in line with HR standard and guideline.

Desired Skills and Experience:This job is open to Egyptian nationals with the following skills and qualifications: A completed degree in human resources administration, management or any related field. At least 5 years progressively responsible experience in human resources management, in areas such as human resource planning, recruitment and selection, performance management, contract administration, reward and employee relations. Experience in providing advice to managers at a variety of levels and on a variety of people issues. Experience of working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment. Good knowledge of employment law and codes of good practice as they apply to a particular national context Experience of using technology for a wide variety of HR services and activities. Excellent interpersonal and listening skills. Solid administration skills Computer literate, with familiarity using MS Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint) and HR information systems Fluency in Arabic with excellent written and spoken English. Desired skills and qualifications: Experience of advising and dealing with disciplinary and grievance cases. Experience of supporting managers in identifying learning and development needs. Working experiences with ERP system will be an advantage. Professional HR qualification from recognized human resources body is an added advantage. HR knowledge of other countries within the region is an added advantage.

Benefits:Salary and benefitsThis is an Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position with annual salary ranging between EGP 9,000 - EGP 9,400 per month.WorldFish's NRS shall receive comprehensive benefits including (but not limited to) insurance coverage for staff and eligible dependents, and pension/provident fund contribution.

Time frame and locationThis position will be based in Abbassa, Egypt, with frequent travel to Cairo. Interviews are expected to be held in August, and shortlisted candidate will be expected to attend.The successful candidate should be available to commence as soon as possible for an initial 1 year fixed term contract, with the possibility of an extension depending on performance and funding situation.
