Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) - www.dar.com - are currently seeking to recruit a SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR to join their offices in Cairo. 

Key Responsibilities

• Review Contractor’s procedures for measurement of works, monthly payment requests and check the quantities quoted and unit rates applied. Initial the payment request prior to PM’s signature
  
• Review and verify relevance to the programme and provide comments on the cash flow provided by the Contractor and request the Contractor to revise his cash flow at certain intervals
  
• Periodically update executed quantities based on actual measurements performed by the Construction Contractor and produce up-to-date cost of works
  
• Monitor materials delivered to site
  
• Study the cost effects of all requested variation orders and time extensions
  
• Perform cost analysis of unscheduled work items and negotiate their rates with the Contractor on behalf of the client
  
• Ensure recovery of Advance Payments in accordance with the conditions of the contract
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  
• Minimum 15 years of experience
  
• Proficiency in MS Office
  
• Very good command of the English language
