Android Developer

We are seeking a creative Android developer who thinks outside the box and can push the limits at times! We're looking for someone who's as passionate as we are about mobile apps.

You will be involved in every step of the development process, from brainstorming product ideas, to delivering the app to customer.

Job Requirements:

• 1-5 years of overall Android development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• A deep familiarity with OOP and Design Patterns
• Solid understanding of the full Android development life cycle.
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Strong knowledge of different versions of Android.
• SQLite Experience, working with databases locally on Android
• Previous experience using custom REST and JSON solutions for backend app services
• Familiar with Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices
• Ability to communicate in English fluently
• Familiar with source code control system as Git
• Familiar with JIRA issue tracking system is a plus
• Hand on experience in developing applications bluetooth low energy (BLE) / Near field communication (NFC) is a big plus

Role responsibilities

• Writing clean, architecturally sound and maintainable code.
• Maintaining the current Android apps by fixing bugs and improving application performance.
• Working with the other embedded, backend engineers & marketing team to create, design and ship new features.
• Unit-test code for robustness, include edge cases, usability and reliability.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Author technical design documentation that fully defines all application code and the underlying methodology for the design decisions made.
• Assist in continual improvement of configuration management process.
• Participate in collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and creating quality products.
