As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will be part of Robotics Business Unit based out of Cairo, Egypt. Robotics and Motion Division is a global leader in products, solutions and related services that increase industrial productivity and energy efficiency. Its motors, generators, drives and robotics provide power, motion and control for a wide range of automation applications. The leading position in wind generators and traction converters complements the industrial focus, leveraging joint technology, channels and operations platforms.
Tasks Your main responsibilities in this role will include: Volume and profit: Selling products / systems / services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and Profitability targets for assigned Business Units / Product Groups. Customer relations: Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. Sales plans: Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and propose recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls. Sales: Creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy. (Delivery time, payments and general terms & conditions). Marketing: Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers. New market opportunities: Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration. Administration: Managing administrative procedures in sales processes, support collection and project management activities when needed. Offer preparation: Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions. Should be able to use the robotics simulation software to make proposal.
Requirements As the ideal candidate, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Mechatronics/Instrumentation engineering with 4-5 years of professional experience in front end sales in the field industrial automation. Knowledge of the controls, basics of electrical, AutoCAD, field instrumentation, Servo motors, AC/DC drives, ABB Robot will be of added value. Proficiency in spoken & written English and Arabic language is required also proficiency with French and German language would be an added advantage for this role.
