The Dow Chemical Company has a great and challenging job opportunity for an Administrative Assistant at our location in Heliopolis, Cairo.

The role is made up of a variety of organizational and co-ordination tasks such as:

Responsible for administrative and communication duties for local office (and System House) as well as assisting the Country Manager (CM). Planning, executing and managing corporate events and external conferences, including venue booking, vendor management, agenda planning and travel bookings. Fully responsible for tasks delegated by Country Manager (and SH Director) such as presentations, reports, travel arrangements; act as communications focal point during CM absence. Managing Travel Expense Reports (TER). Program including training personnel on TER software, to compiling data, following up on due reports, administering budget control and providing periodical reports to management. Steering and following up on potential customer queries to sales teams assuring customer requirements are being routed efficiently and accurately. Creating and willing to continuously update office (and SH) policies and ensure personnel are properly following through initial training and periodical reviews. Responsible for facilities management including oversight of Safety and AC maintenances schemes, IT related issues, safety/security measures and emergency actions/evacuation. Responsible for procurement by assessing business needs, assisting in vendor sourcing, negotiation, selection and ensure contractual obligations are met. Translating of various documents, editing, proofreading and correcting written materials ensuring correct format, spelling and syntax. Conducting business communications with external organizations, governmental entities and industry associations in regards to business meetings and inquiries. Acting as a Focal Point for Egypt Health Services, Office and Employee Safety. Being a member of the Crisis Management Team. Managing a complete communication project; including gathering and compiling integral data, forming escalation matrix and delegating tasks to fellow team members. Managing stationary and petty cash needs of SH (includes visiting SH minimum twice a week). Conducting, arranging and facilitating visits and events related to SH. Generating reports from DSR on Egypt Financial performance and SH Financial performance periodically. Assisting GM/SHD when needed with the analysis of such financial reports; margin deviations, price deviations…etc. Coordinating / following up on inputs required periodically from SH TSRs (NUR forecasts). Managing the scheduling and wigs file for the SH TSR’s. Maintaining a track record of safety trainings for Egypt.

Qualifications

Administrative experience Fluent in English and Arabic Very good knowledge of major office systems including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Leadership skills Being flexible and multi tasking Bachelor Degree
