Purpose of job
Currently, we, Grundfos Egypt, are aiming to further strengthen our sales force. To achieve this, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Sales Engineer to actively promote and sell Grundfos products and services to the Water Utility market within Egypt, generate ideas, and support product development based on feedback from customers. This role will be based in our office in Cairo.

As a Sales Engineer, Your Main Responsibilities Will Be
Achieve sales targets by implementing agreed design strategies (game plans, marketing plans , pricing structure, and trading terms);Identify and qualify opportunities in the market;Search and define new expandable customers, exploiting and evaluating the weight of all business opportunities;Use the up-selling and value selling techniques;Maintain and develop a strong rapport with current clients/project stakeholders through personal visits, telephone calls and correspondence, in order to address any customer dissatisfaction issues and identify any additional revenue potential;Manage and develop direct account basis by possibly increasing business revenue where applicable;Special follow up on projects and spending the necessary time on project sites, building strong relationships with projects’ stakeholders;Negotiate during the sales process and agree univocally with customers in all respects of details to reach a final PO or contract;Ensure that the clients have received what has been agreed and according to expectations, by following either directly or through other departments;Continuous Feedback on sales activities (customers) to the Sales management highlighting issues that need to be monitored and requiring corrective action, in order to maintain a total quality service standard;Ensure sustainable business by networking and engaging with relevant stake holders for projects pipeline (design; feasibility; tender stages)Use available business tools - BW, SAP CRM - to monitor the sales figures for country, customers, and products, register and update all activities and opportunities in the SAP CRM;Assist with the preparation of sales based budget/plan ensuring maximum profitability and productivity; influence business decisions by providing key input such as product pricing, market situation, and potential revenue threats etc. to the Management;Maintain relevant logs, CRM, Opportunity Pipeline and develop follow up procedure to determine project status;Support other Group companies involved in international projects where applicable;Follow up on outstanding payments as required;
Critical knowledge and experience
To be considered for this position you should fulfill the following requirements:
Must be a Bachelor’s Degree graduate, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience and proven track record in sales in a Manufacturing Industry. Preferably has exposure to the Pump Industry.Knowledge of typical pumps application systems in the water utility sectorAdvanced understanding of pumps principles, construction, hydraulics and controls of products. Knowledge of material technology and machining processes. Ability to read civil/system drawings as well as electric machines principles knowledge.Ability to identify and exploit opportunities to implement Value Added Services/Solutions.Good presentation and influencing/negotiation skills. The capacity to professionally present information in both written and verbal forms to a range of target audiences is essential.Creative and lateral thinker and a good team member. Computer Skills include familiarization with: Microsoft Office™ (Outlook®, Excel®, Word®, Access®, Power Point®, Projects®, etc.), Autocad (or other drafting tools), SAP;The job holder will have to possess a technical mind, strong business flair and the ability to identify and deliver high quality customer service.Must have a positive attitude, professional approach and experience in multinational and multi-cultural environments
