Main accountabilities and approximate time split

Research & analysis

40% Responsible on tabulating all local indicators and its updates (CBE, MoF & Stock market)

Analysing all monthly & quarterly bulletin / broadcasts issued from CBE & MoF Responsible on updating daily market commentary issued to our internal and external clients Monitoring market researches and support local research team in various local market indicators analysis / requirements.

Execution

30% Support in monitoring the bank’s local and foreign currency cash flows.

Assist in managing Nostro accounts Support in managing and supervising the bank’s local & foreign currency liquidity ratio and reserve requirement in accordance with CBE regulations. Assist in managing concentration ratio limits effectively to prevent any breach in assigned limits. Assist in distribution of list FX rates to branch network. Assist in pricing debt securities instruments, spots & FWDs for sales team. Executing funding & gapping activities in accordance with the bank’s position and internal limits. Support AWBE in meeting and expanding its role responsibilities as a primary dealer in debt securities. Support in managing debt securities primary auctions for T-bills/bonds whether for AFS portfolio or PD trading portfolio Support in preparing the monthly investment forum pack with all data needed.

Support in handling all Fixed Income trading (T-bills – T-bonds) with all types of customer’s whether (Banks – Corporate – FI’s – Retail) Support in managing the bank’s securities portfolio through dealing in T-bills/bonds within the limit set. Support in developing, expanding and ensuring surplus investment in debt securities and optimizing the generated profits.

Other Job Responsibilities

15% Continuous contact with all market participants whether primary or non-primary dealers, in addition to brokers, FI’s (Mutual Funds) and offshore clients.

Maintaining strong contacts/relationship with all stake holders and regulators (CBE and MOF). Sending daily market commentaries to clients, in addition to flashing any pop up news. Showing price reference through Bloomberg/Reuters. Daily calculation of expected P&L. MTM for all portfolios until automated. Prepare the monthly P&L check-up and commentary for monthly activities.

Technical skills / Competencies

High Analytical skills. Effective negotiation and marketing skills. High communication skills. Understanding of Egypt interbank market, CBE regulations, policies and disposition towards banking roles. Understanding of market and interest rate risk.

Knowledge, Expertise and Experience

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in Egypt. Familiarity with Banks policies, products and services. Treasury product skills – interest rate and fixed income mathematics. Knowledge of treasury and banking systems. ACI qualifications Ability to handle several tasks concurrently. Fluent in Microsoft office.

Essential

Experience & Qualifications

Commercial degree if no relevant professional qualification Minimum three years relevant experience (Treasury, Risk, Economic analysis, Corporate)

Preferred

ACI Dealing certificate. Economics / Finance post graduate degree
